
Student Intern at Restaurant Kitchen
Part of Jennifer's education included a short internship at Left Bank Brasserie in San Jose in their commercial kitchen. Here, she focused on cooking for large parties, preparation techniques, and familiarizing herself with equipment, appliances, and the workings of a commercial kitchen.
Food Preparation and Service
Food service is an essential component of dietetics and nutrition, and Jennifer has varied and extensive experience in it. She has been in the food service industry for over 10 years, working in kitchens, grocery stores and restaurants, while also working front of house operations as a server and manager.
In addition, her experience extends to menu and recipe development and meal planning. Her experience in this particular area is mostly in therapeutic and specialized diets, in addition to creating meal plans focused on sports-related goals.
