Eat2Perform, Inc
While a student intern at Eat2Perform Inc., Jennifer was given exposure to clinical and sports nutrition through a variety of case studies. During this time, she formulated a complete dietary analysis and full recommendation for a female triathlete with self-diagnosed bulimia and gastrointestinal problems. With the goal of improving performance and relieving GI stress, Jennifer was able to complete an individualized assessment with nutrient, hydration, and vitamin and mineral recommendations that would support her in achieving her goals.

Indian Health Center
Jennifer shadowed a dietitian at the Indian Health Center in San Jose, CA for four months. This center is primarily a WIC office and during her time observing, Jennifer gained experience in dietary recalls, nutrient analysis and assessment, in addition to counseling low income families on nutritionally dense foods. Here, she was also able to polish her Spanish-speaking skills in counseling and educating regarding dietary habits.

Other Case Studies
Jennifer's formal education at University of Alabama gave her exposure in treating a variety of nutrition related diseases via various case study analyses.
Clinical and Sports Nutrition
Jennifer was not always into nutrition, but she was always in to food! Also being into sports and athletics, Jennifer finds it incredibly rewarding to learn about the methods behind sports nutrition. She is fascinated by how food fuels the body when you treat it right, and how food can be used to treat various diseases when we are not at our best.
