Prebiotic and Probiotic Foods

Prebiotic foods are the fuel for probiotics, which aid in digestion and contribute many proven health benefits. How these foods work together, how to pick them out, and the benefits of consuming them in a balanced diet was discussed in a workshop developed by Jennifer for Eat2Perform clients.

Food for Fuel

Pre-workout and post-workout nutrition are important meals to consider when attempting to reach serious fitness goals. For these workshops, Jennifer presented on how much to consume, when to consume it, and what meal options are good for pre- and post- workout.

Calcium and Vitamin D

Jennifer created educational handouts regarding healthy eating habits and proper intake of calcium and vitamin D for an aging population. Jennifer also taught educational classes to senior citizens regarding macronutrient intake, bone health and maintenance in hopes of inspiring an increase in consumption of healthy foods. Here she developed recipes highlighting beneficial nutrients for bone health and educated the audience on how to identify nutrient dense foods.
