Jennifer was a student intern at Eat2Perform, Inc. in Los Altos, CA for over 11 months before becoming an official employee. During her volunteer time she was able to get well rounded exposure to areas of dietetics including assessment, menu planning, and education. She taught workshops on subjects including sports nutrition and probiotics, and also polished her skills in nutrition writing.

Indian Health Center
As a student volunteer, Jennifer observed the WIC office at the Indian Health Center in San Jose, CA. Here, Jennifer shadowed the dietitian and aided in conducting dietary recalls and assessment, nutrient analysis and patient education regarding selection of whole foods.

Santa Clara Adult Education
Jennifer was a student volunteer at Santa Clara Adult Education Center where she taught workshops to senior citizens on bone health. She highlighted nutrient dense foods, recipes loaded with vitamin D and calcium, and appropriate intake amounts for optimal bone density and health.
