Understanding finances and budget when it comes to managing and running a department is necessary. I was able to calculate FTE hours, labor, productivity, and the finances of the facility during my rotation at East Bay Post Acute. Having an understanding of budget and financial resources allowed me understand how to staff a department and ultimately make a master schedule.
