Ethics & Professional Development
I strengthened my professional development goals by attending FNCE and creating a professional development plan. At FNCE I was able to attend various lectures and network with other RDs and dietetic interns. I spent time learning about new and upcoming products in dietetics at the expo, and was able to bring my knowledge to use at East Bay Post Acute.
I also developed a health promotion project, Meatless Mondays, which lasted a 4 week cycle and the results were used for a process improvement study. The goal of this project was to introduce more plant-based meals into the facility and to get the residents familiar with more sources of plant protein. The project was a success, with a 98% satisfaction rate among the residents.
